Verizon Innovative Learning STEM Achievers empowers middle school students from under-resourced schools to build STEM and entrepreneurship skills through hands-on instruction using next-gen technology.
Program details and options
Summer immersion
- Includes either a four-week session or a three-week session depending on the local program structure
- Mentorship opportunities available, starting with the summer program and continuing through the entire academic year
- Will take place in-person, virtually or as a hybrid of both depending on the host school's preference. Registrants will be notified by the program director ahead of time
Academic year
- Includes two full-day STEM workshops (one in the fall and one in the spring) to be scheduled by each host institution
- Programming is open to both summer-session students and students from local middle schools
- Includes tours of campus facilities, classrooms and labs
- All community parents and students are welcome to come and participate in a full-day open house

Inclusive

Interactive
Students experiment with robotics, 3D printers, augmented reality headsets, engineering software and coding.
Immersive
Students become creators and makers with new skill sets, including 3D design and printing, coding and app development, virtual and augmented reality, and more.
